Almaty. March 10. Kazakhstan Today - The National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan does not plan to reduce the refinancing rate. Vice President of the National Bank of Kazakhstan, Daniyar Akishev, informed during the Kazakhstan Financial Forum in Almaty, the agency reports.

"You know that, following the results of two months inflation has grown a little, and we do not plan to decrease the refinancing rate. Accordingly, we will discuss this question in the second quarter of 2010 when we will obtain the exact data regarding the payments balance for 2009 and when we will know the preliminary results of the first quarter of 2010," D. Akishev said.

"The official refinancing rate will be defined proceeding from the situation in the monetary market and inflation rate."

He reminded that last year the refinancing rate was lowered from 11 to 7 %.
