Astana. July 20. Kazakhstan Today - The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Masimov, assigned the Ministry of Agriculture and the Agency for Competition Protection of Kazakhstan to take the price for sugar under control at government selector session today, the agency reports.
"Now there is a period of making jam and many in retail started holding back sugar and unreasonably increasing the prices. You need to take this problem under special control," K. Masimov said addressing the Minister of Agriculture, Akylbek Kurishbayev, and the chairman of the Agency for Competition Protection, Mazhit Esenbayev.
"We along with the Agency for Competition Protection will undertake the measures to control the prices for sugar," he said.
