All crew members and passengers of Mi-8 helicopter found dead
Astana. November 30. Kazakhstan Today - The body of eighth member of the crew of the Mi-8 helicopter has been found, Kazakhstan Today reports.
"On November 30, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. under the rubble of the helicopter found the body of the eighth member of the crew. Searches are completed," the press-service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan informed.
According to MES, on the site of the helicopter crash investigation activities were conducted under the direction of the Main transport prosecutor's office, during which the circumstances of the disaster and the death of the crew and passengers of the crashed aircraft will be investigated.
As previously reported by the press service of Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan, on November 29, in the 90th - 95th kilometers from the city of Usharal in Almaty region, 5-7 kilometers to the left (east) of the road Dostyk - Usharal, 15 - 20 miles from Lake Alakol, the remains of the missing helicopter were found. While falling down the helicopter received substantial damage, only the aft body was unbroken.
We recall that on November 24, in the direction to Dostyk station the Mi-8 helicopter belonging to airline "Eurasia Air" was making overflew the Kazakhstan-China pipeline. On board there were eight people, including five crew members and three specialists.
According to the branch "Kazaeronavigatsia" (Almaty), after some time the connection with the helicopter crew was lost.
To perform a search of the helicopter, a special search and rescue team of 54 people was created (DES employees, police, railway workers, volunteers from nearby communities), headed by the Deputy Head of the Department for Emergency Situations of the Almaty region.
A criminal case was launched upon loss of the helicopter MI-8. "The measures taken so far have not given positive results. Therefore, there is a need of complex operational and investigative activities. On November 27 this year Druzhbinskiy transport prosecutor's office opened a criminal case under Article 295 of the Criminal Code (violation of safety rules and operation of railway, air or water transport). Production investigation mandated to enforcement bodies in transport. Search activities are under special control of the prosecutor office," the press-service of the main transport prosecutor office informed.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan, on board of the Mi-8 there were: aircraft commander Khabibullin Raul Gauptraufovich, copilot Esenaliev Nurlan Azhbaevich, flight engineer Kim Vladimir Ivanovich, aircraft technician Maksayev Konstantin Viktorovich, aircraft technician Radomski Viktor Ivanovich. Among the passengers there were flying observer of JSC "KazTransOil" Shokparov Nurzhan, shift engineer Sarsembayev Almaz Kametbazarovich, engineer of "KKT" Sabirov Kenzhebai Nagashybaevich.
