Chile hit new 6.1-magnitude earthquake

Chile was hit by another 6.1-magnitude earthquake on Sunday in the Maule region in the south of Chile, approximately in 280 kilometers from the capital, the US Geological Service informed. The epicenter was in the sea approximately in 100 kilometers from Talc city, the centre was at the depth of 19 kilometers, the agency reports citing the information portal NEWSru.

The earthquake occurred at 21.38 on Sunday, UTC (coordinated universal time), at 02.38 Astana time, Monday. According to seismologists, the earthquake's epicenter was in 120 kilometers to the west from Talc city in the central part of Chile.
