Karachaganak oil and gas condensate deposit in the Western Kazakhstan area has been caught on fire, the agency reports citing the press service of the Emergency Ministry of Kazakhstan.

Astana. December 24. Kazakhstan Today - Karachaganak oil and gas condensate deposit in the Western Kazakhstan area has been caught on fire, the agency reports citing the press service of the Emergency Ministry of Kazakhstan.

According to the press service, "there was an ignition of thermal protection of the technological pipeline at height 4 - 5 meters on the total area of 2 square meters the day before in the city of Aksay on Karachaganak oil and gas condensate deposit belonging to the Kazakhstan branch of Karachaganak Petroleum Operating at 14.07. There are neither victims, nor casualties. As a result of the fire, 80 people were evacuated.

The fire was liquidated at 15.11 by fire brigade service of JSC sondirushi of the Ministry of Emergency of Kazakhstan.
