Kazakhstan has been hit by two earthquakes, the agency reports citing the message of the Emergency Ministry of Kazakhstan.

Astana. April 21. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan has been hit by two earthquakes, the agency reports citing the message of the Emergency Ministry of Kazakhstan.

"According to the Institute of Seismology of the Ministry of Education and Science of Kazakhstan, Kazakhstan was hit by an earthquake of К=9.5 class on April 21, 2010 at 03.10. The earthquake's epicenter was in 112 kilometers to the northeast from Almaty (the Ridge of Zailiysky Ala Tau). The 2-magnitude earthquake was in the settlement Kuram."

As informed earlier, there was the earthquake at the northern coast of Kapshagay on April 20 at 16.19. According to the Institute of Seismology, the earthquake was of К=11.3 class. The earthquake's epicenter was in 117 kilometers to the northeast from Almaty.
