Sumatra hit another 6.8-magnitude earthquake

The Indonesian island Sumatra has been hit by another 6.8-magnitude earthquake, the agency reports citing ITAR-TASS.

Almaty. October 1. Kazakhstan Today - The Indonesian island Sumatra has been hit by another 6.8-magnitude earthquake, the agency reports citing ITAR-TASS.

The Geological Service of the USA informed that the Indonesian island Sumatra has been struck by the new 6.8-magnitude earthquake.

ITAR-TASS informed the head of the crisis centre of the Ministry of Health of Indonesia, Rustam Pakaya, said that there will be thousands of casualties of yesterday's earthquake on the island Sumatra.

According to RosBusinessConsulting (RBC), the number of casualties of the earthquake in Indonesia has increased up to 200 people. Thousands of people are trapped under earthquake rubbles.
