Works in Arcelor Mittal mine in Karaganda area suspended

Kazakhstan Today - 162 miners were evacuated from Kuzembaev mine in ArselorMittal Temirtau JSC in the Karaganda area in connection with the increase in concentration of carbon dioxide. Mining works were suspended, the agency reports citing the press service of the Ministry of Emergency of Kazakhstan.

Mining works were suspended, the agency reports citing the press service of the Ministry of Emergency of Kazakhstan.

There were 162 people in the mine who were evacuated on May 16 at 01.15 2010.

"There are no victims. Mining works have been suspended. 50 people and 13 tech units have been involved in liquidation of the emergency of Komir JSC and 2 people and 1 tech unit of the Ministry of Emergency of Kazakhstan.
