Kazakhstan Successfully Concludes its Chairmanship of the OTS

Ahead of the 11th Summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Murat Nurtleu, participated in the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the OTS, press service of the Kazakh MFA reports.

In his remarks, the Minister Nurtleu summarized Kazakhstan's chairmanship of the OTS under the slogan "TURK TIME!" during which over 80 events were held. He also highlighted the growing and unifying role of the Organization on the international stage.

The Kazakh Foreign Minister underscored the achievements of OTS member states in areas such as trade, investment, transportation, and agriculture, while outlining promising avenues for mutually beneficial cooperation within the Organization.

The meeting reviewed preparations for the OTS Summit and approved draft documents to be signed at the event.

The Organization of Turkic States (OTS) was established at the initiative of Kazakhstan in 2009 in Nakhchivan, Azerbaijan. The OTS Secretariat is located in Istanbul, Turkiye. Currently, the Organization includes Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkiye, and Uzbekistan as member states, with Hungary and Turkmenistan holding observer status.
