A Centre for the Culture of Turkic Peoples has been opened at the University of Warsaw

A ceremonial opening took place at the University of Warsaw for the Centre for the Culture of Turkic Peoples, a new academic hub designed to promote the study of the history, languages and cultures of the Turkic world, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan reports.
The Centre was established at the initiative of the Faculty of Asian and African Studies of the University of Warsaw, with the support of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation and the Embassies of Turkic-speaking countries accredited in Poland.
Aktoty Raimkulova, President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, delivered a welcoming address, emphasizing the importance of the new centre’s activities in strengthening scientific, educational and cultural ties between the Turkic-speaking states.
In the opening speech, a representative of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan highlighted the importance of establishing the Centre for the development of academic research, the expansion of intercultural dialogue and the strengthening of humanitarian cooperation between Poland and the states of the Turkic world.
As a symbol of friendship and cultural exchange, the Embassy presented the Centre with a traditional Kazakh souvenir - a torsyk - symbolizing hospitality, prosperity and respect for national traditions.
The ceremony was attended by lecturers and researchers from the University of Warsaw, students, as well as diplomats from Azerbaijan, Turkey and Uzbekistan.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yermek Kosherbayev received Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Republic of Kazakhstan Piyapin Niyomrerks, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan reports.
During the meeting the parties discussed the current state and future prospects of Kazakh-Thai relations, reaffirming their mutual interest in further strengthening bilateral cooperation in the fields of trade, investments, transport and logistics, digitalization, critical minerals and energy, electronics, advanced manufacturing and tourism.
Particular attention was paid to the schedule of forthcoming high-level engagements, including the official visit of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand, Sihasak Phuangketkeow, to the Republic of Kazakhstan on 24-26 June 2026.
The parties also exchanged views on topical regional and international issues.

Kazakhstan highly values its relations of friendship and good-neighbourliness with brotherly Russia, which continue to develop steadily in the spirit of strategic partnership and alliance. Your recent state visit to Kazakhstan was of particular significance, as its outcomes opened new horizons for mutually beneficial cooperation and gave a powerful impetus to the implementation of large-scale projects and initiatives. Kazakh-Serbian Economic Cooperation Discussed in Belgrade

Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Serbia Madi Atamkulov met with Nenad Popović, Minister for the Development of International Economic Cooperation of the Republic of Serbia, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan reports.
During the meeting, the parties focused on the implementation of agreements reached following the official visit of Serbian President A. Vučić to Astana (February 26-27, 2026).
Ambassador Atamkulov briefed his counterpart on the progress made in this area. He noted the new broad prospects for cooperation opened up by the implementation of the instructions of the heads of the two states.
In turn, Minister Popović reaffirmed the Serbian side’s firm commitment to implementing all agreements and its readiness to provide the necessary support for the further deepening of bilateral economic cooperation.

Austrian Parliamentarians Expressed Interest in Continuing the Interparliamentary Dialogue

Mukhtar Tileuberdi, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Austria, took part in an event organized by the Austrian Parliamentary Society, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan reports.
Ambassador Tileuberdi held discussions with Walter Rosenkranz, President of the National Council of Austria, Christina Schwarz-Fuchs, Vice President of the Austrian Federal Assembly and member of the Austria-Kazakhstan Friendship Group, as well as with other parliamentarians.
During the meetings, the Ambassador informed Austrian lawmakers about the implementation of the large-scale political reform program initiated by President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. Particular attention was paid to the further modernization of Kazakhstan’s political system, the strengthening of democratic institutions, and the expansion of citizens’ participation in decision-making processes.
The interlocutors were briefed in detail on the key provisions of the updated Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which introduced new mechanisms for balancing the branches of government, enhanced the role of Parliament and the Vice President, strengthened local self-government, and expanded guarantees for the protection of citizens’ rights and freedoms.
Special attention was also given to plans for the upcoming Kurultai elections and further steps aimed at the country’s institutional development within the framework of building a "Just Kazakhstan." Positive assessments were voiced regarding the visit of the Austrian Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Interior to Kazakhstan on May 5-7 this year.
Welcoming the positive outcomes of the visit of the two Austrian ministers to Kazakhstan, Austrian parliamentarians expressed their interest in maintaining an active interparliamentary dialogue and expanding bilateral cooperation between Kazakhstan and Austria. Particular emphasis was placed on the forthcoming visit of the friendship group to Kazakhstan scheduled for September 27-30 this year.
The parties reaffirmed their mutual commitment to further strengthening the Kazakh-Austrian partnership and maintaining regular contacts.

Delegates at the 26th Congress of the AMANAT party have approved a proposal to merge with the Ädilet party, the agency's correspondent reported.
According to AMANAT Chairman Yerlan Koshanov, the merger will help consolidate resources and strengthen efforts aimed at building a fair and progressive Kazakhstan.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alibek Bakayev received copies of credentials from the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Korea Jung Ki-Hong, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan reports.

There Are No Differences or Disagreements Between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, Tokayev Says

There are no contradictions or disagreements between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said during a meeting with Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic Marlen Mamataliyev, according to the Akorda presidential press service.
As brothers, we will continue to strengthen our good-neighbourly relations. The economy of the Kyrgyz Republic is developing at a rapid pace, and we support this positive trend. The election of the Kyrgyz Republic as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council is truly a historic event both for Kyrgyzstan itself and for Central Asia as a whole," Tokayev said.
For his part, Marlen Mamataliyev conveyed greetings from Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov to the Kazakh leader.
The meeting focused on the development of interparliamentary ties and effective legislative support for bilateral agreements reached at the highest level.
The two sides also held a substantive exchange of views on the systemic socio-economic reforms being implemented in both countries.
The interlocutors reaffirmed their commitment to the comprehensive development of strategic partnership and allied relations between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
