19th meeting of the Council of Heads of the EAEU Accreditation Bodies

The Council considered five issues in the field of accreditation, contributing to the high-quality and safe movement of goods between the five member states of the association, press service of the Ministry of Trade and Integration reports.

Currently, work is continuing on the creation of a unified register of conformity assessment bodies of the EAEU, and in terms of implementing the new provisions of the Procedure for including new conformity assessment bodies in it, the experience of the participating states in this matter was reviewed.

According to NAC Director General Talgat Momyshev, the National Accreditation Center forms and maintains the national part of the unified register of conformity assessment bodies of the EAEU on the basis of the NAC web service. The information in it is formed according to the presented template of the Eurasian Economic Commission and sent to the Committee of Technical Regulation and Metrology of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan for consideration and further sending to the EEC. In addition, Kazakhstan, along with Belarus and Russia, has become a signatory to the Agreement on the Operational Exchange of Information on a bilateral basis on the Activities of Accredited Entities.

Then there was a constructive discussion on all issues on the agenda of the meeting, during which the heads of the accreditation bodies of Kazakhstan, Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan and Russia expressed the positions of their countries on various aspects of accreditation, reached agreements that contribute to the removal of barriers to mutual trade, the dynamics of promotion of high-quality goods and services on the market of the EAEU countries.

The next, 20th meeting of the Council of Heads of the EAEU Accreditation Bodies was decided to be held in person in Moscow.
