Senator Serik Uteshov met with deputies of the maslikhat of Karaganda region

Deputy of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Serik Uteshov arrived in the Karaganda region, where he met with representatives of the deputy corps of the regional and city maslikhats. During the event topical issues of socio-economic development of the region were discussed. In particular, issues of improving the quality of life of residents of the mining capital and single-industry towns, further expanding industrial zones, improving the efficiency of healthcare and education services, energy and housing and communal services were raised, press service of the Senate reports.

During the dialogue, the deputy shared the results of the activities of the first session of the VIII convocation.

In general, during the session, the Upper Chamber approved 25 Laws. It is important to note that 10 of them were initiated by deputies. Among other things, the law "On the Return of Illegally Acquired Assets to the State" was adopted, which is significant for the country and the people, which will allow the return of illegally acquired assets located both on the territory of Kazakhstan and abroad, as well as eliminate the conditions that contributed to their illegal acquisition and withdrawal", the senator said.


In turn, representatives of state bodies of the region told the senator about the main socio-economic indicators of the Karaganda region, and the deputies voiced a number of problems that require the assistance of parliamentarians to solve. The participants of the meeting also spoke about the existing difficulties in supplying electricity to rural areas, repairing roads and increasing the cost of building materials, raising the wages of public sector workers, and developing the communal infrastructure of settlements.

Summing up the meeting, the senator noted that all the issues raised will be under the control of the parliamentarians.
