Deputies of the Senate Committee on Socio-Cultural Development and Science visited a number of social facilities as part of preparations for a round table on the topic "Actual problems of citizens with disabilities and ways to solve them", press service of the Senate reports.
During the visit to the National Center for Children's Rehabilitation, the senators got acquainted with innovative projects, achievements and rehabilitation services provided to children. The parliamentarians also met with the leadership of the center and discussed issues of social and pedagogical rehabilitation, inclusive education and social adaptation.
Additionally, the senators visited the Sharapat Social Service Center. The organization provides special social services to people with disabilities. During the visit, the parliamentarians were shown health-improving rooms, a cinema hall and a swimming pool. The leaders of the Center told the senators about the achievements and existing problems.
The senators noted that the results of these visits will be widely discussed not only during the planned round table, but will also be used in the legislative activities of the Senate deputies.
The senators also visited several social facilities of the capital, where they got acquainted with the state of the infrastructure intended for persons with disabilities.
