Government considers measures to implement President's instructions on digitalisation development and law enforcement

During the Government session, Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov identified priority areas of work and outlined clear deadlines for achieving specific results by the Ministry of Digital Development within the framework of implementation of the Address of the Head of State, primeminister.kz reports.

One of the key tasks is the introduction of artificial intelligence technologies into the ‘e-government’ platform. The first results of this work should be presented in December this year, Prime Minister emphasised.

It is also instructed to ensure the launch of the National Centre of Artificial Intelligence and completion of laying of fibre-optic communication lines across the Caspian Sea in 2025," Olzhas Bektenov stressed.


Based on the set goals, the Ministry of Digital Development has been instructed to develop and approve detailed action plans with the indication of specific measures and responsible executors within a month in conjunction with interested government agencies.

Head of the Government also noted the importance of accelerating the construction of data centres in a number of cities in Kazakhstan and attracting the resources of the telecommunications network. According to the plans, the work is expected to be completed in December 2025.

In addition, the need to revise existing measures to combat crime and drug abuse prevention was identified. In the Address of the Head of State to the people of Kazakhstan "Fair Kazakhstan: law and order, economic growth, social optimism" dated 2 September 2024, special attention was paid to the issues of social security.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has been instructed to develop a set of additional measures to combat crime, in particular fraud, within 2 months. The ministry should also intensify work to promote a draft law aimed at countering drug crime and preventing drug addiction.

The task to reduce the number of road accidents has been set before the Ministry of Transport: the ministry has been instructed to work on the introduction of intelligent systems in the road infrastructure. At the same time, new mechanisms for controlling the quality of technical inspection of motor vehicles should be developed by the end of this year.
